Designing Fitted Spaces - Bathrooms
Written by richart khalil

If everything in the house should be carefully planned, what should we say about the bathrooms where every centimeter counts, where we have to integrate all sanitary fixtures and fittings in the optimum way?

 bathroom planned in line

Always consider while planning the dimensions of the fittings, their necessary clearance – this is the minimum margin of space access and use – and the water supply as well as the drainage. All these items in mind follow these simple considerations:

  1. Position the bathtub first. This will make clearer the space left for the other fixtures. Place the basin where there is good natural light and the lavatory as possible far from the bathtub.
  2. Think comfort: if not everything can fit, reconsider the choice of fittings and their size.
  3. If the bathroom is big enough to allow interesting layouts, do not be afraid to try unconventional fixtures positioning, such as bathtubs based in the center of the space or bath on platforms.
  4. You will find in the market oval or corner bath that may help you to furnish an awkwardly or badly shaped bathroom. After practicality, look for comfortable visual results.

Each part of the bathroom has its particularity and design needs, but it is to be understood that everything should begin with a general layout.
